With Clearent Hosted Payments you can securely store your customers' credit card details and charge them at a later date. This is particularly useful for repeat customers, and also if you run a pickup and delivery service.
If you are using the pickup and delivery apps then you can have your customers provide their credit card details in the app, and then charge the customer's card with one click when you complete the order.
Note that our Clearent integration is currently available in the US only and requires the second version of CleanCloud.
Set up Clearent Hosted Payments
- Go to the Settings > Admin >Payments page in your CleanCloud account
- Go to the 'Clearent' Payment section
- Enter your Public Key and API Key into the boxes
- Press the Update button at the bottom of the page
How to Charge a Saved Credit Card
From the Ready Page
- On the READY page click 'Payment' on the order that you wish to charge
- A box will pop up with payment options, click 'Pay with Saved card (Clearent)'
- If the customer has a card stored in your account it will automatically charge their card. If they do not have a card stored it will prompt you to add their card information.
From the New Order page
- Create an order on the New order page, or edit an existing order
- Change the payment method to 'pay with saved card (Clearent)'
- Click on the green submit button
- If the customer has a card stored in your account it will automatically charge their card. If they do not have a card stored it will prompt you to add their card information.
From the Driver App
- Mark the order as delivered
- Click on 'Pay by Card'
Note: this will only charge the card on file if your Clearent Hosted Payments is properly set up on your CleanCloud account.
How to Add a Credit Card to a Customer Account
- On the NEW ORDER or SEARCH page select the relevant customer by entering their name or phone number and selecting them
- Click on the edit pencil next to the customer's name
- Click on 'Add Card'. In the box that pops up you can either:
a) type in the card details manually
b) press the 'Use Terminal Instead' button. This will allow the customer to insert his card and the card details will be saved - Once this is done, the card details will be securely stored for you to use at any time
How to Add the Clearent integration to your Pickup and Delivery app
- Go to the Settings > Admin > App page in your CleanCloud account
- Scroll down to the Payment Settings
- There you can decide whether you want customers to add their credit card information
- Once finished, press the Update button at the bottom of the page
